Connect your apps to CCC Secure Share

App developers

The CCC Secure Share™ network (CCC Secure Share) is a network using cloud-based APIs to permit more than 19,000 collision repairers to connect to apps using the CIECA BMS data standard. Because CCC Secure Share is powered by the cloud, it allows any app with an internet connection the ability to connect to the CCC ONE® software, including legacy desktop apps. This opens the door to a new world of possibilities – including a new generation of web, cloud, and mobile app experiences to drive further innovation in the collision repair industry.

Transitioning from EMS to BMS

For the past few years, there has been a growing movement inside the collision industry to upgrade from CIECA's older EMS format to the newer BMS format. There are many reasons for this, including the ability for collision repairers to control data sharing, concerns around data security, and the rise of the cloud and mobile apps.

Benefits for app developers

CCC Secure Share opens up new possibilities for app developers and also reduces a lot of the pain related to the configuration and export of EMS files. No longer is there a need to manage EMS settings and support local data pumps on thousands of machines.

Benefits include:

  • Ability to connect with more than 19,000 collision repairers through a single connection
  • 100% cloud-based API
  • Lowered tech support costs
  • More robust data security
  • Build new generation of mobile/web/cloud apps
  • Management console to manage connections and transaction volume

Get started today

The best way to get started is to register as an app developer. CCC is providing a transition period of 18 months to allow app developers to migrate their apps from EMS to BMS. The 18 month period begins on October 1, 2016 with the launch of CCC Secure Share app developer registration. CCC will retire EMS format in April 2018, after which time data export from CCC ONE will only be available for collision repairers via the CCC Secure Share cloud API.

  • October 1, 2016: Registration opens up for app developers. Registered app developers will be first to gain access to the CCC Secure Share cloud API documentation and developer dashboard.
  • April 4, 2017: Launch of the CCC Secure Share™ Marketplace. Collision repairers can search, view, and activate data sharing in BMS format with registered apps. BMS is live.
  • April 2018: EMS file export no longer available from CCC ONE® Total Repair platform

Transaction fees will commence in April 2018 at which time EMS export will no longer be available in the CCC ONE platform.
